Kentucky lies in the heart of the midwest along the banks of the Ohio River. It is dead in the winter, but in the summer, it is wonderful.
If you want to go to Kentucky, fly into the Cincinnati airport, which is actually in Kentucky. (What do you expect from an area where people marry their cousins?) From there, check out the Cumberland Lakes. My friends and I like to rent a houseboat from one of the many travel places there. We can then float on the lakes, have orgies at night, and no one is the wiser. It’s tons of fun and I think everyone should try it at least once. Book ahead because the boats fill up fast. (They know I’m going to be up there!)
We save some time to go to King’s Island in Cincinnati as well. Go on Fridays when the lines are shortest.
It’s not a trip until somebody rides The Beast rollercoaster one too many times and throws up!
