Purrrrrrfect!

We have owned our Kenwood, (MO620), Microwave Oven, for two years. We bought it because it is very light.

We decided to buy a white one, to match our other appliances. It is quite small 26 cm x 24 x 41.

We bought our oven at London Drugs, (when it was on sale), for $50.00 CAD.

It was easy to set up, we just took it out of the box and plugged it in.

There was an instruction booklet, that we have never used.

It is made of painted steel, with a safety glass window. The oven weighs ½ kg and holds 14 litres.

We put it on top of our buffet table, because we knew is wouldn’t scratch it.

What It Looks Like:

There are two round and one square dial on the front. One is a 60 minute timer, the other is for deciding if you want to use the oven to bake, defrost, grill, roast or toast. The square dial is to adjust the trays. There is also a tiny light on the top, that turns red, when your food is ready.

When I am using it, it always, feels cool, on the outside of the microwave. There are removable racks and even a tray to collect crumbs.

Inside the oven, they used a non-stick substance and that makes it easy to clean after I use it. One wipe with a damp cloth, and it’s clean!

The microwave has an approved number, (3764), as well as a safety standard number, (IEC 33529).

It can be bought any where in the World because the volts are 220/240 and the watts are 1170/1400.

What Do I Make In My microwave:

I can warm up coffee or tea in half a minute. Popcorn takes a minute to make, (and all the kernels are popped).

I put an egg into a small glass dessert cup, scrabble it with a fork, put it in the oven, and in less than a minute I have scambled eggs.

I have made roasted chicken, grilled steaks and bake a fish. In the old days, all of these things could be made in a microwave, but they came out the same colour as they went in. Today, they come out crisp and golden on the outside and fully cooked on the inside.

I have made a grilled cheese sandwich, as well as re-heating left-overs.

I have make baked, mashed and sweet potato pie and they are delicious.

A Recipe:

.:Pizza Casserole:.

Ingredients:

1 pkg. pepperoni

1 lb. ground beef

1 pkg. cooked egg noodles

1 can cheddar cheese soup

1 jar pizza sauce

2 cups mozzarella cheese

Method:

I probably don’t have to but I have to brown the beef.

Except for the mossarella cheese, I mix all the ingredients together. Put them in a glass casserole.

Then I sprinkle the top with the cheese. I set the microwave at high, (250 deg), and in 25 minutes the casserole is ready to eat.

The Company:

Kenwood makes a lot of products, and if you would like to see them, the link is:

Warning:

Never use metal containers or foil in a microwave.

I Hope:

We love our Kenwood Microwave, and if you are in the market for one, I hope you will take a look at this one.
