For International Tourists in Kerala: If you are a tourists coming from countries other than India, then do carry your original Passport and Visa. I advise you also carry some copies of these documents as you might require them. You may also be required to fill up a Currency Declaration Form for the amount of foreign currency you bring in.
Credit cards in Kerala: Most of the hotels and restaurants in Kerala accept major credit cards such as AmEx, Masters, Diners and Visa.
Communicating in Kerala: Most of the people here talk English, so you can easily communicate with the locals and ask for directions.
Weather of Kerala: Kerala has a tropical climate that is neither too hot nor too cold. The state experiences different climate in different regions. High ranges of Kerala remain cool throughout the year whereas plains of Kerala are hot and humid. One personal advice: carry your cottons clothes, straw hats, sunglasses and sun block lotions. If you also plan to visit hill stations in Kerala, then do carry a light sweater with you.
