I had the unfortunate event to go to KIMS hospital trivandrum for my dad who was ill and in critical condition. Now this happened to be a week before onam ( a kerala festival ) and most of the docrors were either away or planning for a mini vacation the next week. My dad was admitted and that too to the deluxe suite as we thought that we could get some attention in a high paying ward atleast. Alas that was not to be. They completely ignored my dad and the nurses didnt even have the time to administer the basic drugs and even IV !!!My dad’s condition worsened and the doctor who have yet to meet my dad on seeing the patient file determined he doesnt want to take the case and prompltly pushed it to another doctor without informing us or the ward nurses. The other doctor didnt even glance at the file and rejected it outright as he had plans for onam!! 3 moredays passed with my mom running to and fro to find the old doctor who didnt even let her meet him. HE just told I reassigned the case to someone else that too 3 days late!! The only thing the hospital did n time was to present the exhorbitant charges for the room and nursing charges. Finally when my uncle confronted the doctor he infact yelled at my uncle and told him to get my dad to any other hospital for all he cares!!! Due to Gods grace my dad was taken to PVS in ernakulam where the Doctors ( god bless them) finally gave him back to us safe and healthy even though it took them around 3 months to do so as my dad’s conditioned turned for the worse in KIMS. I Still shake in anger for what the ( KIMS) hospital has done to us. MY friends I strongly advice you DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRUMSTANCES TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE TO A HOSPITAL THATS A DISGRACE TO THE VERY NAME OF MEDICAL CARE. I have no words to describe the contempt I have for this montorous institution. Just ask around to the people who had visited there to hear there horror stories.. Doctors are supposed to beselfless not selfish. Institutions like these should be wiped off.
