I bought Khaitan merlin fan in Nov-2012 cause it’s have label "Made In India" for Rs.1800/- but it fail within 30 days of it’s purchase and start making NOISE(same like mixer-grinder).
I lodge complaint and Service Center person came and told that "Sound was due to low oli level", when I told him that it’s just 2-3 months old fan than he said "may be company forget to fill oil till required level"?
God! company forget to FILL OIL? Good!(ZERO Quality Control proved)
Just after 15-20 days of servicing it again START MAKING noise like "Mixer Grinder"?
Before this fan I used Bajaj - Made In China- Nearly for 6 years with 2 Service & service need only after 4th year onwards.
Electrician told that Khaitan Parts easily available if it knock down but they forget to add that Khaitan Fan Can be repaired but with RAT RAT GRD GRD SOUND and forget that we buy fan for Cool Air and Silent Sleep and not to feel being at WORKSHOP all time(24x7 feel like near by Motor Garage).
I have 2 BAJAJ Table Fan & 2 Wall Fans(2 with me and 2 with my friends) that labeled Made In China but is running without any sound from last 5-6 years(2 need it to service exactly after 3rd year and other 2 need service after 4th year and that too just Rs.70/-)
So those who buying with emotion that Khaitan is Made in India be ready to hear ANNOYING SOUND while FAN is ON.
I would like to recommend BAJAJ FAN for it’s SILENT RUNNING and LONG LASTING Quality.
