We(7 people) took U.P Sampark Kranti(Hazrat Nizamuddin to Khajurao) direct train and reached Khajuraho around 7 a.m . Since, We have no prior booking of Hotel, we find many Hotel represntatives at Railway Station itself . there we select M.P .Tourism -Tourist Village.a very good Air conditioner Twin sharing huts are availble in regionable prices .The staff was very cordinal and treat like "athiti dev bhav".At hotel we booked for Evening Folk Dance and Light and Sound show in Hotel itself.
We hired one Auto for Saturday, and visited first all the Eastern Group of Temples and Southern Group of Temples. Architecture of each temple is similar but still have various distinctions. This group comprises of Hindu Temples(Dulhadeo, 64 yohini, Bhrama Temple etc) and Jain Temples(Adinath, Pasvnath etc)
Then we took Lunch at Restaunt . and a nap of 1 hr.
Again we started around 4’O clock in the evening for Western Group of Temple, we started with Lakshman Temple depicting Tantric kriyas, then maha Manteshwar Temple etc, each temple is so beutiful that we hardly cover 50% of temple till closing time(6:30). Then we took evening Snacks and move to Folk Dance near western groop. We Relax while watching the Folk dance show of 40 minutes then we move to Light and Sound Show in Hindi started around 8:40 for an hour in the voice of Amitab Bachchan between the Western Group of Temples . The show is nicely made and well woven comprising the history of Chandela Rulers. Then we moved to our Tourist Village and took dinner there -very tasty food .
Day 2
We wake up early and left the Hotel around 6:30 and watch the remaining Temples of Western Group till 10 A.M. This time we took Audio Guide Tour(available both in HIndi and English for 60 Rs) and unfold the history of Temples .and come back to Hotel .We took the Brunch and did checkout and keep our luggage in locker there. We hired a Taxi and move to Ken Ghariyal Century 20-30 min away . We saw variety of wild animals like Blue Cow, Vulture, Dear Family, Langurs etc and did boating in Ken River through Vocanic Ashes of 4600 millions years ago.
Since, the Sun is overhead and time is short, we moved directly to Pandav Falls in the Panna Tiger Reserve . No Tiger seen in the hot day but the cool atmosphere of Pandav Fall was really soothing.Caves where Pandav stayed during agyatwaas was there but they seems to be newly made.
On sunday eve we took UP sampark Kranti at 6:20 P.M. and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 5:30 a.m
We are planing to go there again in August to see the beauty of Overflowing Ken river.
