Absence of an Internet Connection, Time and the mental motivation a person gets bogs down of any fun and Indeed Mouthshut is fun and it?s a truth of late I have remained out of this fun.
Somewhat similar to this Anant Srivastav (AB Sr.) wants to prove a point, which he hasn?t for all his COP Career, Clumsy Inspector Shekhar and Sub Inspector Tusshar (I don?t know his screen name) accompanied by Two Constables are set on a suicidal mission to port a ISI Terrorist (Iqbal Ansari) to Mumbai, Bad forces try to stop the Good One?s with a shadow of Thrill & what happens in the end remains to be seen.
Khakee isn?t a Total Cop film but indeed it is one good representation I have seen after Ardhsatya, It gives us all the sizes of the Attitudes of the men in uniform, Also the fact the film successfully convinces me that it is easy to be Bad but very difficult to be Good in this system. Directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi in his signature style leaves more emphasis on Characters and way the drive the mood of the film.
ABSr.::indeed a pleasure to watch, The role suits him like a sticker and he does what he usually does i.e. Go into the skin of his character, Watch him in the scene where he convinces the S.P. of Thane to help him.
Akshay Kumar::has got his jumping stunts applied in acting & thus comes up with a standard performance, I think some people might take him as the best part of the movie.
Tusshar Kapoor:: Does well as a junior inspector and as a junior in acting college of the movie, I still feel he should do something with his voice and expressions.
Ajay Devgan:: No mention in the prelude but yes you need to watch the movie for his characterization which somewhat in my opinion is disappointing, I mean Ajay this time didn?t gave me a novel feel about his acting and looked similar to a mute performer in some of his recent movies.
Aishwarya Rai:: Comes dances, squeaks, shrieks and irritates but just might surprise you during the movie, though I feel she?s there only for adding star value.
All in all Khakee entertains and keeps you gelled with the reels which unfold with something new, only thing drags it are songs which just slows down the pace of the movie, though I like Uppar Wale and Maula song, I forget to mention that music is by Ram Sampat
Box Office
Khakee has been sold at 2 Cr/ territory and is released with 280-300 prints, opened to an average response the movie took pace in cities but I dunno why lost in Smaller centers which I feel is due to weak characterization of AB at some places and Ajay?s different role. Overall it has garnered around 7-8 Cr. In first week which is below par.
