For those who have not seen Khakee.. Is someone there? I was so much preoccupied in my work that I hardly got anytime out for theatre movies..Once I came again to work in US, I jumped on its DVD. As I sat down with huge expectation from Big-B my all time fav legend.. I started watching movie with big O. And I knew that Rajkumar Santoshis project wont put you on mercy.. I am impressed by the script nevertheless its the same old politician-police drama. But I liked its editing and Santoshis narration.. Well after Dil Chahta Hai..
I saw the perfect charaterisation for a movie.. Bachchan, Ajay Devgan fit well into the role. Akshay Kumar was a surprise package.. I have never seen so good after Hera-Pheri.. I like his personality but now I can say he can also act.. Aish was another surprise beauty with devils mind.. Anyway if someone wants to see movie let me reveal the plots.. The script keep you up and down roling..not a perfect suspense thriller..
Another bright aspect is of dialogs.. Santoshi has really picked up some fine bumpers. It doesnt require Sunny Deol shoutings, , but the impulse .. Bachchan puts whole heart in punching them.. As if it appears Santoshi created write them seeing him into that role.. The overall revenge plot treatment has been handled with different composition. Especially Thappad has been meticulously woven.. There are few Bollywood stereo typo scenes, similar to ?Gabbar yeh Haath Muzhe Dey? but then director also has to balance the Indian viewers taste..
Lara Duttas hip-hip song adds into spice.. Jaya Prada hasnt lost any charm. She still holds those beautiful flavors of an Indian wife..Tusshar also justifies his keep-mum role, but finally its he who bumps the final climax.. Overall I can say movie is good. Thanks for avoiding too much musicals.. Songs are okie..Looks for its Background music.. Its gone so effective on the screen..
Other techno crafts are fine just as Santoshis movie.. Espcially I avoid fragile Bollywood plots..prefers for Hollywoods..But then I was satisfied for seeing Bachchan in real Khaaki role.. It really put the police on right frame. There are officers who also live and die by the ethics and principles.. A big Thanks to Santoshi and team...
