Roti-Roti's At Home Are Better!

Roti is hyped because it comes under Mars restaurants.Well the other restaurants are good, but Roti! is a total dissapointment.I had gone to attend my friends birthday treat over there. The ambience of the place is good, with nice music, good air conditioning and a nice pleasant scheme of lighting with paintings of cars and motorbikes. The staff is also very cordial and always attentive. There is also a bus horn, the bhopu, at the entrance, so you can play it while leaving or just for time pass, which can be fun at times!.The restaurant has typical punjabi food, with parathas, some types of rotis and starters. They also offer pitchers of iced tea or coke. The starters are bland, with little taste and very little serving.Only 4 small sized servings for a hefty Rs.85!The first pointer that this place is expensive and not worth it at all.I then ordered a chicken tikka paratha(you get the option of what stuffing you want in your paratha), it took a while, almost 30 minutes to bring 2 small made-for-mice to dine parathas with some dal and other stuff served with paratha.Yes, the paratha tasted little better than the starter, but it was very oily and very little. For dessert I had a chocolate brownie which was as hard as a rock, and it took me the jaws of hercules, which god gave me as he pitied me in the place, and I could eat half of it.The place is utterly hopeless, you can call it a rich truck drivers dhaba, and for one who is on a diet, as the serving size makes you feel you are!.I would not recommend this place, try other Mars places like Dosa Diner, which is so far better and Noodle Bar.If you are planning for a punjabi/moghlai dinner, Delhi Darbar is far better. The rumali roti my friend ordered was tuff and coarse too, and it was a total put-off.In the end, we all survived the ordeal, and luckily I am still ok and can write this to you.

So steer clear of Roti!Tell your mum to make rotis, which is far better and tastier

Prices of the stuff we had:

Ice Tea Pitcher: Rs.99

Chicken Tikka Paratha: Rs.140

Chiken Shaami:Rs.90

Chocolate Brownie/w Ice Cream: Rs.120
