Khel-its an ordinary game after all folks

Its a pity how a great plot is often messed up towards the end in our bollywood movies.khel is dished out to be an interesting fare thanks to some slick and pacy direction, some good acting and a couple of decent songs, the tame end notwithstanding. khel is about two very close friends-dev mallya(suniel shetty, dont ask me the mystery behind that name)who is a rich and manipulative businessman, and rohan poddar(ajay jadeja, making his debut)who is a happy go lucky simple kind of guy.in steps our beauty queen as saanjh(celina jaitley, who needs to cut down on make up and improve on dialogue delivery)and becomes the cause of rivalry between the two.saanjh falls for rohans simplicity which arouses devs jealously and he has rohan framed wrongly in a murder.all seems lost for rohan as he is sentenced to life imprisonment before our real khiladi, inspector scindia(sunny deol with an as usual power packed performance)intervenes to open his case again.how he rescues rohan and how dev is punished towards the end for his wrongdoings(quite predictably)forms the rest of the movie. slick production values are one of the biggest high points of this movie.a couple of hummable tunes like chori chori, pyar hone add additional flavour to the movie.although, khel does seem to have a very good pacethroughout and a decent plot, its biggest seems to be its very predictable and tame conclusion. all in all khel is a decent timepass sort of movie but dont expect anything out of the ordinary.it does turn out to be an ordinary game after all.
