This is one of my personal best movies of all time, whether it be for the beautifully penned songs (the evergreen Tu Mujhe Kabool), the mind blowing scenery, the powerful performances, or just for the mere fact to see Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi deliver their best together.
The movie, when released was one of the most anticpated movies, and for me, I was dying to see it, jus by watching the promos you knew this was a gem, and to hear Amitabhs deep thrilling voice (as seen in Agni Path) you expect a lot, and thats what you get.
The story is how Baadshah Khan (Amitabh) has to live a lie after acquiring to win the love of his life, Benazir (Sridevi) to kill the man who had stabbed Benazirs father. After doin so in a foreign land, India, the laws of the country bind him to stay there as a prisinor, and cannot return to his homeland Kabul, Afganistan to meet his newly wed wife, who he has just spent 30 days with. What follows are twists n turns as the viewer gets to witness Benazir and Baadshah Khan living apart.
The cinematography can be matched to the recent Devdas, with stunning visuals and the landscapes to die for.
It has action, romance, drama, and thrills n twists to keep the whole family watching.
