Superb Cinema - A Must See for all

The best movie of 2008 thus far.

A beautifully woven story, poignant and heart rendering. The movie goes far beyond the confines of moral and religious confines even though these are excellently exposed. It exposes how the lives of the innocent are compromised due to unexplained dogmatic rigidities which have surround the earth and threaten its very cause and essence.

The music is 5 star quality too. The scene of the student’s first musical initiation to the music school, where he sings a classical composition accompanied by the piano and later with other instruments, is a standout moment, showing that music truly has no cultural boundaries.

There are standout performances by the main characters but most of all a brilliant story, told as well and honestly as could be.

Pakistan has now got it’s genius film-maker in Shoaib Mansoor and this is certainly a cause for huge optimism. He has handled the film with such deftness and finesse that it is difficult to find any real flaws in it.
