Errrrr what was the title of this flick again? Oh yeah that’s right, it’s ummm (COUGH COUGH) Khushi! Khushi stars Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan who are shown to be the ’’coolest kids on the block!’’ But that is definitely not the case!
The story is of these two who are born on the same day and consequently happen to bump into each other without realising! Finally they meet up when they join the same university-Oh the joy! They eventually become good friends (which mainly is because they happen to be friends of a couple that are finding it hard to maintain their relationship due to the girl’s father being a pain!) Eventually they start falling for each other but don’t show this to each other; and often take each other the wrong way and this ends them up into the stupidest fight ever! They keep shouting at each other and don’t take a single breath! The first couple of times that they had these fights was kinda funny, but suddenly it gets sooooooooo annoying and rather pathetic! What is Boney Kapoor doing??????
Later Kareena and Fardeen fall out over Fardeen seeing Kareena’s stomach-right?...Oh crap I’ve had that happen to me-does that mean that I should have fallen out with all my mates too? Please give me your feedback on this query :) !
Anyways they continue to remain so called ’’enemies’’ but carry on helping their friends in carrying on their relationship; but secretly still do fancy each other. No matter how many times they get the courage to button up and tell each other about their feelings the other one happens to say or do something that upsets the other and this kept making me frustrated!! Eventually after all this parade they both leave university and decide that they should tell each other about their feelings. How do they tell each other about their throbbing feelings in the 21st century-via letters! hahaha!...sorry!
Anyways as always they end up being with each other and even get married-oooo I never saw that coming!!
As you can guess, I did not really fins much joy by watching this movie-I really thought that it was pathetic and a waste of time. Though Kapoor does compromise by putting in the song ’’Tera Bina’’ which is shot really well and the song as a whole is not bad, and ’’Hai Re’’ is not bad but then again its nothing special either! Other tracks like ’’Piya Meri Piya’’ are so-so, but as mentioned before they are nothing special.
Overall this is flick is a disappointment. I had read a lot of reviews that were raving on about how this was one of the best flicks of the year and that Fardeen was really good; but according to me it turned out to be the complete opposite!! And by the way I’m not over-exaggerating, I’m seriously not...honest! The story was awful and old and too long and the performance of the actors was just hhmmmmmmm! What do I mean by ’’hhmmmmmm’’ well it means over-acting...mostly by Kareena Kapoor!!
Anyways if your going to watch this movie-then please don’t-seriously Iam saving your time, money and most of all your piece of mind! And if Boney Kapoor is reading this (ok ok I like to think that Kapoor is-so don’t dishearten me!) please invest your money into something worth-while for you and everyone else!
