We have a groom who doesn’t mind wearing a mangalsutra as he will be the housemaker, while wife will go to earn to make the both the ends meet. Next we will have the husband undergoing an operation for bearing the babies of the couple as the wife has to complete an important assignment before being allowed a maternity leave, thank God or the director as we are spared of such a ridiculous rubbish.
Very hard to digest things like our hero refurnishing an entire. rented flat overnight without giving a second thought as if his mother has left him a fortune and in other scene we watch how the couple loosing sleep while purchasing an apartment of their own & have to resort to taking a housing loan. Again we have a scene where we come to know of intense love for trains is as the house is converted into a railway museum.
We have scenes like our hero taking full control of housemaker’s job like keeping an eye on wife & mother in law’s diet, hosting kitty parties and all other menial jobs like cleaning, mopping, shopping, etc. We have the lady pursuing & rising like a rocket while the hero also making his own presence in the society and then we have the couple falling for each other’s throat due to clash of egos. The movie lacks the chemistry between the couple though the director has tried very hard with scenes like smooching under the sheets but has totally failed.
The only saving grace is a scene of Amitabh & Jaya Bachan actually explaining how one of them had to sacrifice a career to keep the institute of family alive. But you cannot expect just one scene to save a movie. The movie has failed on all the fronts whether it’s a story, direction, chemistry, etc.
Conclusion: Don’t waste time, if you value it.
