Ki& Ka Starred By Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is a Rom-Com Drama film that centers around a very sensitive plot about Gender Discrimination in Our Society.
The film challenged the thinking of the normal Indian Culture and might be able to change our thoughts too!
When I first watched the trailer, to be honest it seemed dull and rubbish to me! I thought how they can make such useless movies where you are making a boy a housewife! It felt ridiculous but after watching it, I must say it completely changed my perception about the movie! It was good; Really Good!
The story is about a MBA Graduate Boy Kabir(Arjun Kapoor) whose dream is to be like her mother; he wants to be a housewife, who just takes care of the house and all. One day he suddenly meets Kia(Kareena Kapoor Khan) An ambicious Working Woman who wants to go higher and higher in her life and never compromise her work, her career for anything! They met, Fall in love with each other now how their "Weird" couple life goes on and how they tackle the society’s thoughts and culture with their own egos and problems; That’s all it about!
The main highlight of the film should be it’s power packed performances given by Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. They both did pretty amazing job; played their character so fluently!
The dialogues are well written and executed.Music is not that great but it goes well with the flow of the film(My Personal Fav s are High Heels& Ji Huzoori).
The Plot itself was something new and intriguing but The runtime(2 Hours) coukd have been much shorter and some scenes could have been removed for the film’s own good!
Overall I would say, It was a interesting watch.
A bit of fresh air in the era of Masala Films!
You can surely go for it if you are willing to watch something different for a long time! And if you are either a Arjun or Kareena fan then it might be the Cherry On the Cake for you.
