Im a frequent traveller on Kingfisher over the last few months, I generally travel the Bangalore-Hyderabad sector at least once every fortnight and I found their services to be very good till my last trip to Chennai. This was an nightmare from the start and I guess although I cant blame Kingfisher for it they have a major part to play.
I reached Bangalore Airport on the 26th evening and hour and a half before the flight, I was pretty surprised by the long check in queues in all the ounters , But anyways after 15-20 Mins got the boarding pass. The fun started after a while once I went into security/Boarding area.
Kingfisher reps announced that they had issued around 40 excess boarding passes for the flight and they asked for volunteers to take the flight next day predicatably there were very few volunteers and it was a colossal mess and the ground handling left plenty to be desired it was a free for all and shame on the airport manager that He put all those poor young girls in the firing line to handle all the irate passengers!!.There was a huge amount of screaming and shouting going on consequently delaying the flight by 2 Hours and we landed in Chennai close to midnight.
The return journey was pretty Ok, although the flight was delayed by 2 Hours, But cant really blame the airline for the appaling weather in Chennai.
This review is not to blame the airline as problems like these happen everywhere But I guess they need to learn to handle these kinds of problems with a bit more finesse and more empathy and discreetly.
