Dispute Handling

Many good things were told about this great airline. So I am not going to talk about their service and hospitality, which everyone knows is excellent. I will touch upon their dispute handling, which not many would have faced.


As part of my work, I have to travel frequently within India and as much as possible I travel on Kingfisher. As a business traveller, I use Amex corporate credit card to purchase my ticket online. For few months, between June and July, they had serious issues with the American express gateway. It rejects the transaction and the error is not very user friendly (something ’object not found blah blah....). I had tries it twice, gave up and used a master card. It worked. However, what I didn’t realize then was that my Amex card was charged twice for the same ticket.


I have called their customer service who promptly gave me an email to convey my grievance. I wish I could settle this on phone, but they don’t have such a facility. I sent a detailed email with all transaction details to them. Usually, you won’t get prompt response for dispute emails esp in India and they ask all kinds of proofs. However, to my surprise I got one in couple of days and the whole matter was resolved within 2 weeks. Two weeks may not be great, but they always updated me with the status. I give A for their dispute handling.


Recently they have renovated their website and I don’t have any problem using my Amex card now. Good job King!
