I have been a regular on Kingfisher since my days in Pune, Chennai and Mumbai. And surprisingly I have only good things to say about the airline. I would like to give a chronological analysis of their service for your benefit.
1.Booking the tickets - The site was quite user friendly. I was able to book with no hassles. Also the king club reward points is a good retention strategy
2.Follow up - Once I had booked my tickets, I got an instant SMS. Once I remember my flight was delayed. They made every effort to make sure the customers are informed.
3.Check In- Very smooth. Since am a very tall guy (65), I always had to ask for a emergency exit seat for extra leg room. I had asked for one during the very first time I flew. From next time onwards, without a request from my side they automatically blocked the seat for me. This was a pleasant surprise indeed. Also the staff was courteous inspite of the long work hours these people put in.
4.Boarding - Timely announcements were made on flight departures. The staff sometimes personally assist senior citizens, women with infants to the bus. Their attitude was very customer friendly.
In-flight - The take off and landing were very smooth and none of the passengers felt anyinconvenience. I liked the TV they fitted for entertainment though the channels are limited. Food was ok. They can improve on this front.
Luggage - In all my encounters with KF(about 7-8 times), I have never had any delay or baggge loss. Also no damages were noticed.
Overall KF stands for1. Good value for money - Low cost yet high value proposition2. Hassle free flying experience
This review is purely for the domestic flights. Am not sure if they maintain the same standards in Intl flights.
