I have flown the Kingfisher Airlines only once from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar and it was a morning flight, and the Kingfisher experience started right from the check - in counter, the smart hostess asked me if there was any liquid I was carrying, helped me decided whether to dump anything in cargo, and gave me a window seat and all this with a pleasant smile.
What I really liked about the Airlines is the snazzy red color and the red theme, it brings a Zing into everything they do, entering the aircraft to be greeted by the smile of a really georgeous hostess in her smart red uniform. really makes your morning, I smiled back and took my seat asking if my travel companion could be seated with me, who had been given a different seat somewhere in the rear of the aircraft, incidentally I had the whole row of seats to myself, even the ones across the aisle, and my travel companion(my boss, we had gone on a business trip), the hostess gracefully let us know that once everyone gets seated you two(me and my boss) could sit together.
the seats though non-reclining were comfortable, the upholstery a nice cool red the interiors was nicely done, the ambience of a kingfisher trip really preps you up.
The food was quite good and I was pleasantly surprised, and not so expensive either.
There is another something which not many people know about KF is really caring, my father is an amputee and a diabetic and needs to come regularly from Port Blair to Chennai for his medical reviews which are scheduled once in two months and he prefers the KF, Why? because he really doesnt need any attenders with him for boarding his flight, with the smart KF staff pampering him and fussing all over him his trips to Chennai and back are a comfortable affair,
and thats the word "comfort" from the moment he checks in, they get a wheel chair for him, check in his luggage, and help him board the flight taking special care about his food(he is a diabetic), get him his favorite seat whenever possible, and last and not the least he loves the cute red KF ball pens.
Keep up the good work KF Airlines, may the red rule the skies.
