And thats how its done!!!

A perfect ad is the one which is attractive, intresting , highlights the product and makes people buy it even though it might be comlpetely useless. this are the basic criteria kept in mind while making an ad.but its very difficult to balance all of these to perfection. and thats where most ads goof up.

a perfect example of a good would be the kitkat ’’ fingers’’ ad. it follows all the cirteria whihc makes it a sucess.the ad is basically about two different styles by which u can eat kit kat. one is the bollywood style and the other is the hollywood style. at first they show a total hollywood western film type scene where there is a bar in the middle of desert ad the hero enters. he takes out his kit kat and eats it ina stylish way. then there is the bollywood style. the so called ’’hero’’ enters the so called’’bar’’ in the middle of the so called’’desert’’ with cows roaming around and everything.and all this with the background voice of some person with typical south indian accent!! I know its a bad description but I am sure if u see the ad u’ll really find it funny.

unlike the other flop ads this ad doesnt forget to highlight the product while attracting attention. this is the one thing which only few people have been able to accomplish.even the manu bhabhi ad of coco cola. though the coke ad is attractive and intresting it fails to fufill the third criteria which is to highlight the product. the ad only tells us that its thanda. so what even mineral water kept in frezer is thanda. big deal!!.they dont give a good reason for bying the product.thats y I find the kitkat ad as my faverite.

i understand that some of us might find the ad offensive and consider it as an attack on the south indian community. all I want to say to them is grow up!!. I mean come on. how can u take it that way. u cannot be offended by such things. we have to have some kind of sense of humour. u have to be mature and learn to laugh at urself. I mean I m sure all u must have laughed at a sardar joke once in ur life. does that mean that all the sardars in the world will start marching in the streets protesting? off course not. teh kitkat community has nothing against the south indians. we must accept the fact that its just an ad!
