Knock, Knock, Whos There? is the story of Johnny Bianda. For ten years he had been a top gunman for the MAFIA. He had collected millions of dollars in extortion money for the MAFIA and never stole a cent. But Johnny had a dream - to own a yacht - which he could never afford to turn into reality. So when there was a record take for the MAFIA, Johnny decided to take his chance and make a run for it.
Johnny had a duplicate key to the safe in which the money was kept and his plan was foolproof, or at least he thought so.
One particular night, after robbing and stashing the money, Johnny goes back to his apartment. He was getting ready to get naughty with his girlfriend, who happen to be his alibi, when he finds that his lucky medallion is no longer around his neck. Johnny panics, thinks that he has dropped it outside the safe and decides to leave the city immediately.
Does he manage to get away? Read the book to find out.
The way he tries to go from one place to another with the MAFIA loose on his tail is somewhat unrealistic, although the way JHC describes it is superb. The book picks up the pace after the robbery and let me tell you, youll be hooked till the very end!
