Garden Manor....if you love nature

Kodaikanal is one of the dream destinations in Indian hill stations. If you really love nature and scenic beauty, do not miss any opportunity to visit Kodaikanal.

Accessible by road from Madurai (nearest airport) and Coimbatoor, this is really on high hills. The bus ride takes a halt at Palani village and then starts the long 52km ghat section with real twisting & turning road.

I would suggest to stay at Hotel Garden Manor, which is facing Kodai Lake. As such many good hotels face this lake as the place is not very big.

This hotel has about 6-7 cottages, furnished with cane furniture. It has lovely garden just in front with variety of flowering plants.

The botanical garden is at walkable distance and the horse ride, bicycle ride are also close by. Kodai lake offers Shikara ride in real Kashmiri style Shikaras. So you have double the fun - of taking a lazy ride in the lake with your beloved.

Few sight seeing points with deep valleys, valley side walks are just amazing. You will feel like a huge garden on top of the hill.

The climate is very clean and very cool. Oct-Dec is with monsoon, but you can really enjoy the rains and the mist.

Not very crowded place this is, you would be easily noticed in the market place.

Ideally one should stay for at least 3 nights - 2 days or 3 days.
