Well, I and my friend brought a Kodak m883 and m873 in a offer, just on the 15th of feb 08.
From then we are facing problems, first thing we noticed was the camera clarity was very poor or even worst when photos are taken in any other environment other than day light. If you take the photos in dim light, you can find spots in the pics (even at 8 MP).
He made a complaint to the cust. service and they said that it is a lens problem and he had a lot of interaction with the cust. care and finally they agreed to replace it. After that there is no response from the concerned dept.
The service center was saying that the m883 and m873 series are defective and that is why they had sold these cameras in an offer!!.
If you are planning to buy it, goto the shop at night and take a few pics of dark objects in dim light and check the quality by transferring the images to the computer!!!

There is no problem with the camera software. But the camera clarity is worst when compared to the photos taken on a mobile with 2mp resolution!!! The camera is not the one they boast of in the advertisements...but lots of digital noise inside.
I am fully vexed with the customer support and the product.Well, one more disadvantage is that the camera doesnt have an AF assist, so if the light is lil dim, then the Auto focus (AF) camera doesnt work at all.
