Pathetic Car Service --Asai Motors -Hyundai!

Hi,   A week ago I gave my Hyundai Car for a complete CNG and over all service and maintenance with hope of a good and satisfying outcome in services and boy oh boy I was in for a big surprise, the answer is poor pathetic service and maintenance - Big Time!


The so called Hyundai Authorized Service Center @ Okhla - Asai Motors in New Delhi rendered the most horrifying service to my car in question.


Attached is the work order for the second time on dissatisfaction, my car did go back for a second round of inspection and in disgust was I to see it do so. Anyways, fingers crossed hoping to find a more genuine and honest approach this time around for my car in distress.


The car before going for service was in a much -much better condition than after service, the driver window screen refused to open despite them making note on the work order, the wiring that was meddled with was never put back in place, the reverse gear functioned under severe pressure, the car refused to move in forward motion, it took 5 to 10 minutes of applying the throttle vigorously imagine the plight when people behind were screaming their horns of the roof top of their cars! The entire cabin was rattling, the pickup and running of the vehicle was such that I could have walked faster when put beside me on the road, a water wash and greasing promised was never done, all this for a price that is beyond imagination!


And then the most important - the mileage on petrol version when CNG was disabled was a pathetic 3 to 4 KM per Liter and later delivered a similar figure and when CNG was enabled from a supposedly full well serviced assembly on a full tank consisting of 10 KG rendered a mere 80 KM - Surprisingly and do the silent giggle I had during initial talks was that after service the full tank as promised would give a whopping 200 km to a full tank - I then wondered .if that is the case then most customers in India would opt for the CNG fitted vehicles instead of gasoline ones to further save on expenditure, such was the convincing methods used.I remember getting 135 km to a full tank which was realistic and acceptable -How people go about convincing customers that wrong is right despite knowing that its - plain stiff visible!


The service center did not even have the capacity or resources to fill half a liter of Petrol to get my CNG fitted vehicle started and back on the road.


This morning the car was sent back for a redo of what was supposedly said to be done and am waiting in anticipation.


My service center nearby to my locality could not assist me as the software for CNG fitted cars was exclusive and hence I opted for the factory services if not I can vouch that the simple mechanic outdoors would have rendered a much better service than the so called bigwigs of today’s world!


And, a soft reminder- this is my 3rd Hyundai Car since its inception into the Indian market - Finally, its time to make a change I guess!
