Kotak Mahindra Bank is one of the largest private sector banks in India with total assets of around 15.8 billion USD. I have an account with the Kotak Mahindra Bank and my experiences with this bank have been usually positive.
The nearest branch of this bank, though, is slightly far-off my place, however, I do not have to visit that as most of my transaction are done on-line. The bank offers an interest rate of 5.5% for below 1 lac and 6% for above 1 lac, which is among the highest in India.
The Net Banking offered by this bank is super-smooth. The log-in mechanism is sophisticated and pretty safe too. It is unlikely that anyone can hack your account, as you need OTP in addition to your usual password to log into your bank account.
You can schedule bill payments and other services without any extra cost and the transfer of funds is quick too. I have never encountered any glitch while transferring the money to different accounts. The customer care executives are courteous and they promptly address the issue. The bank also offers investment options, however, I have not made use of them so far.
Overall, a great bank with numerous services on offer. Young and salaried professionals must have an account with this bank, as the interest rates are pretty good and the net banking offered is pretty convenient too.
