Kovai Kutralam is an amazing waterfall located in a beautifully scenic region of Siruvani. It is located right at the political border of Tamilnadu and Kerala and it is surrounded by forests on all the sides.
Nowadays, getting to the falls can be a bit of more effort. Before few years, we can take our own vehicles right up to 400m of the falls. But now, we can drive till the entrance of the reserve forest area where we are told to park our vehicles and then get on one of the government operated buses to reach the waterfall area.
Throughout this region, you can experience and enjoy a very wide variety of flora and fauna and if you love wild, look no further in Coimbatore. And with this the view it gives. The scenic valleys, moving clouds gracing our face on winters, chirping of birds. It is so lovely.
Then we get down from buses and should walk some 500-700 metres to reach the falls. The falls is so good and the water is so clean and it is not a bit polluted. Time will go fast when you are playing in the falls. It is such a great natural place to spend time and enjoy
Accommodation is not available right near the falls, and you have to get to the city limits to have a nice 3-star accommodation, which is 20 km away
The waterfall is guarded by staffs and sometimes even by police. So you can be completely safe while being here unless you wander off into deep forests, which is prohibited
