I recently travelled with KPN travels from Bangalore to Munnar. After reading the reviews from others at mouthshut, I decided not to book my return trip from KPN. As usual, there was no waiting area at Bomanhalli bus stand. The bus time was 10:30 P.M from Bangalore but as I expected the bus arrived at 11:30 P.M . KPN operators were announcing on mike so one has to be vigilant about the announcement. No waiting area for customers . However, I was expecting this.
After reading the below reviews, we were expecting bed bugs on KPN seats. When I started sleeping, I spotted two bed bugs. Probably, there were more inside the blanket that KPN provided. However, in the entire journey I din’t spot any more bed bug. I din’t use the blanket. This was the first time I was travelling in a A/C sleeper bus. To me and my wife’s surprise we were able to sleep properly during the night with virtually no disturbance. The bus arrived at Udumalpet (sorry for the typo) at around 7 A.M and we were told to change the bus to mini-bus (again I knew this beforehand . Thanks to mouthshut.). We finally reached Munnar at arond 11:15 A.M. After reaching at the Munnar town, one of the KPN agent arranged for a taxi for us to our hotel without any additional charge.
Overall, my experience with KPN was good. However, this might be because I already had very low expectations from them after reading others’ reviews at this forum.
