Frankly, disappointed. I expected atleast some entertainment from this Rakesh Roshan directorial, maybe in the form of Hrithiks dance moves, but basically I wanted to convince my mother that it was worth a hundred rupee ticket. Unfortunately, electricity was interrupted in the last ten minutes, and I missed the spectacle of Hrithik. Also unfortunately, I sat through 90% of the movie and was cursing. The movie circles around the four protagonists, who are mental hospital patients.
Their doctor (Juhi Chawla) takes them out for an excursion and then the krazyness occurs. While these mental patients, who dont have anything so wrong with them that they need medical care, are let loose on the city, Arshad Warsi and Irrfan Khans lives before institutionalization are shown, and they tr to tug at the heart of the audience, who is half-asleep, so it doesnt really work. All in all, a goody two shoes ending where all the bad guys are either dead or in jail, and four mental patients along with their doc are giving heartfelt speeches to the janta, admonishing them for their intolerance towards these madmen, while the real public in the theatre is bewildered as to why they are being blamed for their attitude toward people, who as far as I gathered, have admitted themselves into the hospital. The acting performance is decent though, Irrfan Khan and Arshad Warsi have done atleast justice to their role.
Ranvir Shorey is also depicted well, and the songs are the only part in the movie where I noticed everyones eyes were open. Stay till the end to watch Hrithik dance, if you do go for this movie, but his grooving and Shah Rukhs moves in the title track are still not worth it.
