Well ... this was a much awaited movie ever since its launch .. as it was supposed to be a sequel to Koi .. Mil gaya ...(KMG) ..
KMG was a bold attempt for a sci fi movie in Indian scenario... and Mr. Rakesh Roshan did a fair job and kudos to Hritik for a gud performance ..
So expectations were quite high for Krrish .. So does Krrish meet your expectations .. I think it fairly does ..
actually looking at promos and seeing hritik in a rural attire one can think why the hell he is wearing that kinda clothes since in KMG the location and era was of today’s .. but Mr Roshan have spun a story well enough to justify what u have seen .. .
The story is somewhat like ..Krishna( child ) .. son of Rohit Mehra ( KMG) is possessing gr8 powers which makes his grandmother(Rekha) .. protective abt him since she has lost her son because of the same... so she takes him far from the mordern world and bring him up in isolated village .. the guy after growing up(of course Hrithik ) is well aware of his powers and one day accidently saves a girl ( Priyanka ) who is there for a trekk .. the two meet and Krishna feels a love equation building up with her .. after few days priyanka moves back to singapore where she lives ... Priyanka and her friend ask Krishna to come over to Singapore by pretending to b in love with him ... Krishna makes his mind and comes to singapore to find his love .. after promising her grandma that he won’t reveal his true powers .. . but he later finds the need to use his powers to help the people and thus he accidently disguises himself as Krrish .... there is some surprises too in second half and he is to save the world from a scientist naseerudin shah ... who wants to b the GOD ...
In the first half the movie pace is slow and the romantic sequences between Hrithik and Priyanka are streched too long even there are three romantic tracks which can b eliminated to trim the movie .. also the powers of hrithik are not showcased much ..
Later in the second half .. the movies gets a fast pace ... though there are some romantic tracks and sequences but they don’t bother ... u .. the climax was I think .. much faster ... than it shoud have been ..
Now regarding the high points of the movie ...
The most important the special effects ... no Indian movie made so far have special effects and action sequences like Krrish ... simply amazing ...
the movie its not only dependent on special effects .. the movie have some gud emotional sequences as well ... like the conversation of hrithik with his grandmother .. when she refuses him for goin to singapore ...
the superhero gettup is really gud and suits hrithik ...and thank god ... the producers and have not copied the hollywood style here ...
the movie appears as a sequel to KMG ..
regarding performances ... Hrithik is the "King" ... he is the one who carries of the movie on his shoulders and performs greatly ...
Rekha has also done a gud job ..
Nasseruddin shah .. has also done his part well ...
rest all the cast is ok .. ..including Priyanka although she looked gorgeous ... on screen ..
Some of the negative points for the movie are :
slow pace in first half ... and no action ...
the length is too long it can b trimmed to make a better impact ...
technically the movie is well made ... it is gud in the department of photography, cinematography .. the camera ... and direction as well ...
Over all Krrish is a paisa vasool family affair and u can do njoy a lot with ur family ...
The Roshans do deserve an applause for breaking the mould in Indian Cinema and bringing us movies of a different world ... which is what normally is not done in Indian Cinema ...
