How many of us were there who raised an eyebrow looking at the poor special effects of the TV series Shaktiman and just pushed it down the drain instead of commending the guys efforts to try something new ... something for the kids .. a hero .. something the kids can look up to ... for the first time .. on national TV. The ones among us who did like it , decided upon forgiving the special effects and concentrating on the story.
Well those of us might have dared to raise an eyebrow at Krrish as well . But once we watch the movie the other " not raised " eyebrow would soar high up with awe . Although some little parts of the movie might remind you of some little things you might have seen here and there but the story is absolutely marvelous... the special effects are awsome ... and the best part of it is , you do not have to forgive the movie for special effects just because of the fact that it was an Indian movie and producers cannot afford good special effects.
The story about a special gifted person who could soar high up with the eagles , could run as fast as Flash , had very quick spidey reflexes and looked better than batman in the black robe ( when I say better than batman ... you better take it as a compliment ... because I am a die hard batman fan ) and has hair which makes our very own hero look all the better.
I would say that Rakesh Roshan needs a pat on his shoulders and Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra , a Filmfare in their hands , not just for looking good but also because of their marvellous acting they have shown in the movie ... and so does the special effects coordinator... for making our very own first superhero on the big screen come true.
I read about this fan in the newspapers about this fan who jumped from the balcony feeling inspired from this movie and broke his leg. I scorned at his foolishness then. But when I actually saw the movie , NO I didnt feel like jumping from the balcony but felt truely inspired to do something good for others. There was this scene from the movie where a circus tent catches fire and the special effects were so realistic that you could see your hero run in the midst of a sea of fire all around him. Never in my life of watching movies in multiplexes have I ever seen educated decent civilised men clapping and whisteling ... that too in PVR Saket .The children were so happy , they were crying out their heros name aloud.
I have just two words for the movie ... Bravo Bravo !
