This is regarding the bus journey from Mumbai (Borivili) to Bangalore on 21st May 2010 by 19:00 hours VOLVO Airavat.
The bus met with an accident near Sankleshwar around 4:30 am in the morning. Luckily none of the passengers got hurt, but it was the driver’s fault while overtaking, which is proven since the bus has accident marks on the front. This is was the first bad thing, since it was sheer negligence of the driver which would have cost the lives of our loved ones.
Secondly, no arrangements were made for the passengers for another bus till 10:00 am, which delayed their traumatic journey even further. Not to mention, there were many children, women and senior citizens in the bus.
Thirdly, when I tried to contact the near bus stations (Belgaum & Bangalore) about the accident, they were not aware of the same. I do not think, this is very difficult to keep track of buses in this modern age of Cell phones and GPS.
I’ve used KSRTC services a couple of times, this was the first bad / horrific encounter. I would think twice henceforth, since KSRTC thinks life of others is cheap!
