Ktm duke 200 is first of many KTM bikes that came to India. The KTM name has always been associated with the most fun motorcycles around the world. The KTM duke 200 was launched in India on 2012 via the 40% Bajaj connection.
KTM duke 200 is a naked street motorcycle. The bike is pure fun.It has a single cylinder, four stroke, spark ignition liquid cooled engine. It has a six-speed gearbox. The bike has an underbelly exhaust and a three chamber silencer positioned close to its centre of gravity. The engine is very smooth and refined. The power delivery of this bike is incredible. The engine heats up.quite a bit, contrary to popular belief it doesnt overheat. The KTM duke 200 is a perfect on-road example of mass centralization.Your eyes wander from the chunky tank to the swoopy tank scoops, the trellis frame and the engine sitting pretty over the bright orange underbelly scoop, screeming Racing KTM in bright orange colours. The entire design seems to be telling you nothing else than what KTM has been saying all long, Ready To Race? .The riding position feels tall and high. The position is upright and comfortable. The handle bars are wide and allows the rider to change the bikes direction easily. When it comes to long rides its so difficult for pillion riders to sit in the back. The pillion seat is definitely comfortable but there just not enough room. Touring is the only area in which I wasnt impressed by the duke.Duke 200 has a mileage of approx 32-38km mileage.
Duke 200 is a motorcycle that’s exactly what KTM portrays it to be: a street bike, and does its job brilliantly. The KTM Duke 200 would make you stand out in a crowd, a light bike that will bring a smile every time you head out to battle the maniac traffic. Long tours may not be its cup of tea and the underbelly exhaust might throw some problems in the monsoons, but then again it does have the highest ground clearance in its class.Sharp and good fun is how wed like to describe the KTM Duke 200.
