Hi friends, I’m Milan going to write this review on Ktm Duke 200. Whenever I come to talk about it, I say it is a motorcycle that has graced the Indian roads.
Styling, Build and Finish: There is a sense of muscled fitness about it. There are no rounded surfaces at all. It’s all planes set at angles to each other creating menacing, aggressive shape. I believe KTM is among the best-looking motorcycles in India today. Build quality is excellent. Every parts show its strength and rigidity.
Performance: Being honest, it’s a very finely crafted sword. I was looking for naked aggressive looks, awesome pick up and ultimate street dominance, and I got it. The company has done an exceedingly good job of extracting and configuring the power and torque output. If you are a smart motorcyclist, you will hit 0 to 100kmph in just 9 seconds. Engine is absolutely smooth. The moment I twist the throttle; the duke doesn’t hesitate to respond. There is no real vibration. On busy streets, I can live on the 4th/5th gear if I want, but living on the 6th gear is possible as well science this bike can pull from 30kmph in that gear. Mileage is not so satisfactory. City mileage is only 27kmpl and on highway, it welcomes 40kmpl.
Comfort: Sit on the bike and ergonomics reward the rider with an empowering feel which is hard to find on any other motorcycle in its class.
Where to Improve: 1. All digital meters are perfectly ordinary. 2. Pulsar quality clutch and brake lever are just unfortunate contrast. 3. 135kmph top speed with 80kg rider is ridiculously low. 4. The bike sounds like tractor. 5. The rear brakes are dangerous as they lock up.
In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing else that feels so alive, so hyperactive, so aggressive right now. If you are going to buy a premium motorcycle go for it. As it will be the best choice.
