My most favorite machine in this segment. I own a KTM RC 390 2016 model which itself is amazing. However, KTM has taken valuable customer feedback and upgraded the 2017 model the right way. Major changes; I would say are the exhaust and the ground clearance on 2017 model.
Pros:
Ground clearance was a major issue on the 2016 model for at least the Indian roads as there are lot many speed breakers which are almost never at an appropriate size. The bike’s lowest point would almost every time hit the speed breaker which stops our heart that moment. However, KTM has increased the ground clearance now on the 2017 model which actually is better.
Radiator is now making a little less noise than the previous model.
Little cushioning has been added to the seats which feels more comfortable.
Cons:
I personally think, the company shouldn’t have installed an exhaust as it really doesn’t improve the sound. Also, the underbelly exhaust looks at its best on the 2016 model.
Mileage: It is pretty much the same as the previous model as there were no major changes made to the engine.
