The promos of the movie were so good that I was probably the first one to jump to the theatre as soon as it was released. Also, since it was inspired from I Know What You Did Last Summer, I thought that finally there was a good thriller from a Bollywood director(Of course, I shouldnt forget that this one was inspired)So, I jumped to the nearby theatre (oh yes, not alone but with a bunch of movie-crazy friends). The movie begins, the sounds are wonderful(even the deaf can hear) but the visuals? Oh, where is the movie? One can only hear it. It is dark everywhere. I wonder how the movie was made in such utter darkness when Ektaa kapoor loves to have all her soaps of the small screen very very bright with wonderful colours so that all the characters look like they have yellow fever. First time director, Anil Kumar, probably thought that dark meant suspense. And his viewers had to torture themselves to take a look at the dark figures moving in still more dark background. Anyway, that was only the beginning, the dark period is somewhat overcome in the remaining of the movie.
Lots of songs and dances, as one can expect from a typical bollywood movie. None worth watching, by the way. But of course, they are worth listening. The music sounds good or may be the movie is so bad that it makes the music sound good.
The Plot
I wonder if there is any plot afterall? The so-called plot is like this. Tusshar loves Esha. Esha loves Tusshar. Natasha also loves Tusshar. The as usual triangle of bollywood. There is another guy, called Yash, who is in love with Es.. no Nata.. who? Even the director is very much confused. The characters look like they have been directly picked from Archie comic book. There is a professor, played by Rishi Kapoor, who terrifies everyone as he is rumored to have killed his wife. Actually, his wife is killed. But the director forgets to name the person who has killed his wife. There are a couple of murders in the dark period but one has to scratch his head to understand anything. Exam time. Esha is caught passing answer papers, by ofcourse Prof. She is thrown out. The six friends decide to replace Eshas paper at Profs residence.( I wonder why the answer papers were taken to the Profs place?)They are caught. They run. Trip on a dead body. Finally, they manage to reach their car. Esha drives. And, oh! drives over the Prof. Prof dies or one wonders. Whew! man, I am tired of watching this crap or so called thriller. A lot of twists and turns and an equally crap ending to the suspense. Wow! what a movie. I literally got thrashed from my friends as the day I chose to watch the movie was the Valentines Day. What a way to spend the V-day!
The cast is simply overcast. Esha looks sorry throughout the movie. She shouldnt have chosen the movie in the first place. Natasha, the newcomer, might be good but one cannot actually decide anything with this movie. Tusshar is sluggish, as usual. All in all, a very bad movie and not worth even a penny. And please dont expect anything from the movie and get thrashed from friends like I got.
