Dr Kulkarni runs a hospital with his/her name in Jogeshwari(mumbai). My wife had bad experience when she was admitted there. Although the hospital charges good sum from the patients, they have hardly any services to offer. The most concerning problems I faced there are:
1) The nurses were completely unavailable, there are two floors and the hospital has a total of two nurses. Just imagine when a patients needs help and gets nobody to look after. I was told that mine is not the only patient in the hospital, and they have to look after everybody . Gosh, I was surprised at their incompetence. But since my wife got operated, I could not move to someplace else.
2) Toilet seats absent - The toilet seats was missing from the bathroom. ladies beware, it is not a good experience to go looking/complaining for a toilet seat. Atleast I hated it very much.
3) Insufficient and bad-quality of staff - The hospital keeps maids(dirty, rude and thankless ones - my residential maid is two dozen times better) in place of nurses for giving medicines and taking care of the patients. I believe its their way of making ends meet in times of recession.
4) Writing something else and charging else - The hospital charges more than what they write on their tariff card. Although I was informed about the charges by my doctor but I felt it was fraud. A hospital gets huge subsidy in many ways and should not do such tricks.
5) Basic Cleanliness - I think this credit again goes to the insufficient staff. The hospital was dirty, there was a layer of dust on the room door and at most places. The washbasin in even the Deluxe room was not clean . I was paying extra for a better room. I am afraid what must they be doing with the general ward patients.
May god save you from any disease, but still if you get ill; please save yourself from a place like Dr Kulkarnis Hospital in Jogeshwari.
