Now a complete trilogy, the "Kung Fu Panda" films have all succeeded exceptionally well in what they set out to do, which is captivate children all over the world with laughter and kung fu action. What these films have been so great at doing, is keeping a nice heartfelt story with a few adult jokes here and there in order to satisfy all ages.
This third instalment takes Po on his seemingly final adventure as the old master Oogway is alive in the spirit realm and has his spirit stolen by Kai. As Kai returns to the mortal realm to pursue the Furious 5 and Po himself, his task is to collect all of the spirits that have the power of Chi. With references to the past two films in a loving and sweet way, this film really takes all of its characters full circle, making for one hell of an effective conclusion to this very fun and lovable trilogy.
For myself, the best portion of the film was having Po meet his bilogical father and the tribe of Pandas, which had a huge impact on the overall storyline. This film is just a joy to watch. I had a smile on my face the entire way through, laughing and tearing up at the emotional core it was able to pull off. I truly believe this trilogy perfection for kids to watch. I had an absolute blast in the theatre watching this picture, and if you are a fan of the first two films, you surely will too. They are all equal for different reasons. "Kung Fu Panda 3" is great!
