The biggest advantage of kuttram 23 is an ensemble cast of enthusiastic actors who deliver sparkling performances. Arun Vijay plays Vetrimaaran with a mixture of eagemes and trepidation and he is in top form. His shredded physique, sharp look, and classy mannerisms perfectly suits the stylish upright cop. Not just good looks, the way the actor emotes and perform combat action sequences with great elan is sure to take him to the next level. Good luck Arun Vijay.
Thambi Ramaiah, who comes as an assistant to the hero attracts us with his one liners. the scene where he smartly converts Arun Vijay’s emotional murder into self-defense is a scream. Mahima looks cute and brings believability to her character. Thankfully her role is not limited for duets and as a matter of fact there wasn’t any romantic dream number shot in foreign locales to distract your attention. The two villains Arvind Akash and Vamsi Krishana fit the bills and after a long time, ’Nadodigal" Abhinava scores in a well-written role.
Rajesh kumar’s series of novels and short stories have certainly helped Kuttram 23 and the team has rihgtly credited him. Apart from fitting performances and brilliant writing, Bhaskaran’s stylish visuals is a big strength to the film, especially the hand-to -hand action sequence in the apartment was splendid. Vishal Chandrasekar too deserves a praise for his pulsating background score and special mention to the ThoduVaanam track, which establishes a strong emotional connect.
Overall. Kuttram 23 is easily one of the better films this year so far. My Rating is 4.5/5 thanks for reading .
