I TOTALLY agree! my mum and sis are always sitting in front of the tele watching KSBKBT and Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki and Amanat (wasn’t it garbage?), and on and on. They have their eyes literally frozen open for hours on end. And recently we also got some satelite channel that gives you more networks to choose from :( the tele’s on for hours.
The stories on ALL of these so redundant and unrealistic and so sappy, and just plain unbelievable. Puhleeez - I can’t stand to think that soooo many people go crazy over it. Okay, I can understand some middle-old age housewife relaxing and spending time watching it just for entertainment, but for the rest of us, there’s really no excuse. Indian media kings should start thinking of different storylines and not have everything based on family problems, workplace suspicions, and flirty-girly-girly love.
Has anyone come across any serials/shows that really make you THINK, and not just stare?
