Trust Randeep Hooda for pulling off the most unconventional of roles. And he has done it again, as the latest trailer of his upcoming film Laal Rang shows.
Hooda plays a Haryanvi ruffian Shankar who runs an illegal blood bank, but is like a messiah for the poor and needy. Another ambitious youngster(Akshay Oberoi) joins Shankar in the business as he wants to impress a girl with some quick money. But things turn ugly once Shankar decides to go his own way.
Laal Rang will be perhaps Randeep’s first film that fully exploits his Haryanvi roots. He played a Haryanavi Gujjar in Imtiaz Ali’s Highway but the film concentrated on Alia Bhatt’s story and did not explore his character much.
Directed by Syed Ahmed Afzal, who earlier helmed Youngistan, Laal Rang will hit the screens on April 22, 2016.
