The movie is based on the famous novel Lady Macbeth of mtsensk district by Nicolai leskov, set in 1865 in rural England the story tells us about her marriage to a older man and how her perspective of life changes after marriage and how unwanted things and sins she has to commit because of it, right from direction to acting to even the minute detail of that era is handled perfectly.
The story is compelling and never loses its rhythm, this movie was first released in a film festival in 2016 and latter released worldwide in 2017, I would suggest you to watch this movie online or on DVD as this movie might not be playing in theatres near you.So friends if you are a fan of literature this movie is a must as it’s a story that is truly masterpiece
