I have been using the services for hair colouring from Lakme for the past 10 years, both at Mumbai and Bangalore.
I went to Lakme, Indiranagar, for hair colouring. I wanted only a
root touch-up, but the stylist recommended a full colour service for
better effect and I agreed to it. It cost me Rs.1800/-. She applied
colour (of the shade again advised by her) to my hair and then got busy
with some other customer. She did not wash my hair or even check
if the colour came out well etc.
When I went home, I realised
that the colour hadn’t caught on at all. When I called back, the salon
asked me to come back to show them. I went to do that and the stylist
said she has no idea why it did not come out well. When I asked for its
rectification, she told me that it could be done only after a month.
So I took an appointment again and went to the salon. This time, there
was a lot of dilly-dallying for about halff-an-hour past my appointment
time , while the owner of the salon and the stylist were engaged in
bitter exchanges on the issue of who should attend to me etc. After
that, the owner came to me and said they can only do root touch-up and
not full hair colour!! and that’s not all, they were going to use a
different colour.
By this time, I just wanted to be over and done with,
so I agreed. After the colouring was over, even this time, the stylist
did not come and check the final result. And the colour was bad as
well. When I went to give a final feedback to the owner about the
service and the attitude of her staff, she just wouldn’t take it. She
kept on saying there was something wrong with my hair .
This is the first time that I have experienced such careless treatment
from Lakme, a brand which I have always liked.

herself playing out the utter farce of customer service with me,
when her staff was not agreeing to their obvious fault in
handling my case was deplorable. Never once did she say she was sorry
for the faulty service or the attitude and behaviour of the staff. She
did not offer any other remedy for the state of my hair colour as well.
That is the story of how I got conned of my money - Rs.1800/-.
