The price-war is on, and the Iris X1 stands tall, the pros and cons!
Pros:
Looks, aesthetics(Superb), my friends tell me its an iPhone dupe. Great design, nice form
Display is crisp, vibrant colors, no lags in normal use.
OS: Kikat 4.4.2 as a topping on the cake. Its stock Android, hope to root it sooner than later.
The free Intelligent Flip cover(think its magnetic), it automatically locks your screen when you close it, and wakes up when you open the cover.(No fiddling with the Power button, day in day out)
With a little bit of customization you can make it speak the callers name or number easily, dont even need to waste time looking into pesky advertisement calls.
Dual Sim - 1st Sim - Micro sim(I managed to cut my normal sim to fit, 2nd sim is normal one. Its not CDMA rather(WCDMA) 3G in SIM1 & 2g SIM2.
8 MP Camera with dual led flash, 2MP back, think this beats the moto-micro competition alone.
OTG support, not tried.
Call quality quite clear on both sides.
10.1 GB RAM & quadcore processor to multitask.
11.Decent headphones.
12.It has Dual mic.
13.Plays HD videos seamlessly.
14.Directly install your apps and games to the sdcard
Cons:(Consider 7, 999 as a price befitting these cons)
I am not an avid gamer and hence no idea about gaming, but some reviews quoted 1-2 frame drops. But reviews here have quoted good performance on Temple run 2, subway surfer, gunship battle(3D) games, raging thunder 2hd.
Display is 4.5 inches, to my liking, I hate 5 inch battery-hogging gorillas.
For heavy users battery might not last that long, but have to root it and check before I vouch for that.
It could have been more attractive had they colored it glossy white, this is not so.
Headphone jack needs to be fitted tight to flow through, else it remains on speaker.
Screen resolution could have been better.
Amazon gave me a 16 G.B memory card, for orders on first day, I was glad to accept. 10/10 for my money! My last phone was from Intex Aqua Wonder an Indian company, and this one too, hope its a curtain call for Korean companies fooling us with maze, finally is time to say No-kia to Vee-desi profiteering brands.
