I have recently joined a motor driving school at kalyani nagar in pune, OM Motor driving school which has written on its board(Govt Recognized institute), so you can understand how it could be functioning, they have two cars with them, a Santro Xing and a Tata Indigo.
Both the cars have being damaged royally and the institute owner seems to be least bothered to get them repaired, and since I had never driven a gear based vehicle I was taking time in the initial days to pick up the gear settings and balancing the clutch and accelerator.
There are two instructors one guy is in his middle ages and another person is a senior citizen, I have a teenage girl aso learning driving, as promised to me they were going to teach me driving 5 kms every day for 26 days and if you do not attend the driving class for one day, they would not compensate for it.
The first day when the senior citizen was teaching me, he was getting angry on me making mistakes as I was unable to steer the car properly at turns and was holding on to steering firmly, and was applying too much pressure while changing gears.
The same attitude continued with the other instructor, they just seem to be interested in earning money and if I knew everything about driving why would I come in first place to learn from you, so instead of my interest rising in learning to drive, I feel I am bashed up verbally for my mistakes by two instructors.
They do not tell you what things you need to focus upon based on mistakes made earlier, if I get late to the class by 5-10 mins they frown as if I have killed someone, and they normally sit idle in a small office reading newspapers or dozing off on their desks.
But I seem to have developed a mental immune system to such poor service, thinking that I cannot expect much from such a small time institute.
