First of all I would like to clarify some misconceptions about the phone.
The piece that I got has no Quality Control issues or any creaking sound on hard press.
Second, both of my SIMs are working fine, no issues with the second SIM card slot.
Third, OTG is working, no heating issues and no signal reception problems.
The phone is amazing, especially the premium look and great performance. Memory management is appreciable, since it always manages to have at least 850MB RAM free.
The charging speed is too good. I usually charge it when battery level reaches 15% and it takes only 1 - 1¼ hrs. to full charge.
Previously I thought the Rose Gold color will look girlish, but it is not. That color is actually giving a rich premium look to the phone. The phone didn’t get heat up even after playing heavy games like Asphalt. When I am in AC room or in the early morning, the phone will be very cold and it is a pleasure to hold it. It will make you feel cool.
If you are a camera enthusiast, this phone will not be a good choice for you. The camera is average, may be good for this price range, but not appreciable.
Personally I don’t prefer charging and using headphone at the same time since it is not good(risk) for both phone and user. But you will miss two separate ports, if you are a person who plays videos directly from a pen drive using OTG cable.
The free CDLA headset is good, not exceptional or outstanding. Got a flexible transparent back cover also free with the phone.
Battery life is better than I thought. Easily I am getting more than one day battery life with average browsing and gaming.
The build quality and finishing is almost comparable with Apple iPhone, I wonder how much profit Apple is making if one can produce a phone with that finishing for just 10 thousand bucks.
The color reproduction is accurate and display is so crisp and beautiful. I compared it with my friends’ Redmi Note 3 and found that DPI & color reproduction is much better in Le 2. You can clearly notice the color difference while using blue color apps like ShareIt. Due to the better DPI, Le 2 can accommodate more items in screen than RN3.
There is no lag while watching 4k videos or playing heavy games or opening numerous tabs in Chrome. The default launcher is avoidable, there is nothing special in it. And they placed the live TV app’s icon in the position of app drawer button. Many times I accidently clicked on that icon. Live TV app is useless since very few channels are available. Most of the channels available in YuppTV are not present in their Live TV app.
Infrared emitter is a pleasure to use. Comparing with RN3, this one has a receptor also. So you can teach the phone to control equipment that are not in the in-built list. RN3 don’t have this capability.
Overall, I am completely satisfied with this mobile, especially for its premium feel, build quality and superb performance. Any day I will choose this over RN3, since performance, display, memory management and premium build quality are my priorities.
Got the first OTA update(v5.8.015S) after one week of purchase. Now we can lock apps also using fingerprint without the use of any 3rd party apps.
