This was my second HDD.I bought it because my last HDD is full and it is of less memory so I had to bought a new one.
I bought this from internet when there were offers going on.Because of Lenovo is popular company and because of that I thought I could trust on lenovo.
I compared this HDD with other models and I didn’t find many differences between them only difference was the price(because of offer).
Initially the this HDD was perfect but after using it for more than 2 months, the HDD starts making some problems, like it was started making noise(not usual sound of HDD), and main factor was the transfer speed dropped.
Initially I was getting around 20-25mbps but after 2 months it dropped down to 5-10 and sometimes below 5mbps.I crosschecked that by coping same files in my other HDD, and it was perfect, and one day suddenly the HDD stopped working, I thought it may be problem of data cable, but I was wrong.
I went to service center in Andheri and tell them about this problem.
But they said the warranty don’t cover this problem.
Then what other problem can HDD have.I don’t get what is the point of giving warranty to HDD.
Do they cover replacing data cable only?
The whole point of my saying is don’t buy this HDD and before buying any HDD please read what factors they covers in warranty.
But for this HDD, my recommendation is NO NO NO.
