The Lenovo G50 is a 15.6 inch laptop which runs on a 4th generation Intel core i3 processor which is will let you accomplish your basic computing with ease and then some. The greater the RAM, the better the multi-tasking. So with 6GB of RAM you won’t be waiting for those applications to be opened.
500 GB hard disk drive is standard and enough to store a decent collection of movies, sitcoms and music. The display is standard as well, not impressing but not disappointing. The overall battery backup claimed by Lenovo is 5 hours which depends on how really you use the laptop – if its intensively being used you might max out at about 4.
Great pricing: The Lenovo G50 is priced exactly as it should in accordance to what it manages to offer.
Terrible touchpad: The Lenovo G50 does have some serious issues with the touchpad. Customers have been complaining about the touchpad.
Better battery backup would’ve helped: The G50 has only 5 hours of total uptime which is disappointing. Lenovo should really work on improving the battery life of their laptops.
Verdict: New, but an old acquaintance: Lenovos G50-80 features a previous-generation chassis. Aside from a few minor flaws surrounding the build quality, the overall impression is a good one. The TN panel isnt exactly a standout feature, though: the competitor Medion Akoya ships with a higher-end IPS panel for the same price.
