Hey Guys! I am sharing the pros and cons of Lenovo Slim 1TB Wired External Hard Disk Drive. First of all let me tell you how did I bought this? . I bought it from flipkart vide order id: OD108945281304855000 with a cheap price of INR 3599 during sale.
The design of hard disk drive is simple rectangular with length of 70mm, width 40mm and thickness 20mm. Weight of this hard disk is approx 200 - 250gms. Surface of this hard disk drive has a fancy matte finishing with an indicator to show connection status, which can attract customers to buy it. Unlike other hard disk drives, it has a 30cm long durable cable.
Despite of such aesthetics, it fails ti perform the actual function of a hard disk drive. It has USB 3.0 connectivity, but I didn’t realise any properties of USB 3.0. The transfer speed is 20mbps maximum even if the transfer is between internal hard disk to external. Sometimes it shows connectivity issues with my laptop and desktop. So it does not have universal connectivity property. When it comes to transfering zip files and application e.g. exe files, tranfer speed decelerates to 300kb - 5mbps. After 3 months of use, it failed to work, So I replaced it. Customer service is very nice and they helped me through the whole replacement process. The replaced one has the same slug properties as the faulty one e.g. slow tranfer speed and all.
So If you looking for a hard disk drive in which you are gonna store your compressed data, application files, gaming files and heavy usage, you better don’t purchase it. It is for light usage like storing movies, musics, docx and pdf files. Light users should buy it because it is so cheap.
