Bought it for my Mom.she loved it.i am using it contimuosly.Yes the camera is bad.but I think its due to bad image processing.
IT heated when I started it for the first time.like heated in 20 seconds.but then I was connected to wifi for around 2 hours, updating the apps, downloading the apps, playing music on saavn.etc., and it didnt heated then.yes it was quite cool
Phone looks coooollll.the dark grey colour is dashing.
battery backup is good.i suggest please drain the battery fully and then full charge it in switch off mode.This calibrates the battery.
background app mangement is awsome.it works perfectly and no app can start unless I want it to.
display is good. However I found some icons to be not so sharp( google chrome).but normally the display is really nice.and being an HD display it saves the battery also.
Sound is fantastic!.whether thru headphones or from the built in dualspeakers, its extremely clear as well as loud.
I have installed all the basic apps in it.but as I said.its for my mom.so that way you could understand its performance is very nice.
Repeat.no heating.on casual usage.and by the way redmi prime may be better in software.but I have seen how those phones behaved after a long time.lagging and heating as hell.many of my friends have redmi note 2 and prime.
