This is my first time reviewing a laptop so please forgive me if I miss out anything and please tell me where there is room for improvement. So, today the laptop that I am going to review is a lenovo y50-70 well known as one of the best gaming laptops of 2015. I was really eager to use this laptop and now that I finally have , I am going to list out the pros and cons of this laptop. First of all , let’s come to the specidications of this laptop . This laptop comes with a 15.6 inch screen with 1080p display and a backlit keyboard. Under the hood, this laptop is powered by a 4th gen intel core i7 with 8gb ram and a 4 gb gtx 950 gddr5 graphics card( though I prefer the 5th intel processors but 4th gen processors are also fine) . This laptop however , comes with windows 8 pro instead of windows 10 Now , let’s come to gaming which is what this laptop is made for . Truly , at first I didn’t expect much from a company like lenovo and so I tried to put it to test by running The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt and Assassin’s Creed syndicate on to it as they are some of the most demanding games of 2015-16. I tested the games at the highest rrsolution supported by this laptop and also ran the games at ultra settings . On running the games , I couldn’t believe my eyes as witcher 3 was runnimg at a constant 55 fps and AC syndicate ran at a constant of 60 fps with no frame glitches or fps drops in any of the aforesaid games . I tested some more games like COD Advanced warfare , black ops 3, infinite warfare , rise of tomb raider , doom and watch dogs 2 all of which gave impressive results with fps ranging from 50-60 fps . The main disadvantage I noticed while using this laptop was that it heatsup pretty quickly on playing games so I woukd suggest using a a cooling pad for this purpose.Finally as a verdict I would like to say that lenovo y50-70 is agreat choice of a laptop for gaming and mulitasking so if you looking for a gaming laptop with a 85k budget I would recommend you to buy this beast!
